Support for Immigrant & Refugee Students Statewide Convening 2022

This event featured keynote speakers Steve Zimmer, Deputy Superintendent of Public Instruction, who shared a vision and overview of California’s Community School Partnership Program and Melissa Stafford Jones, Director of the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative from the California Health and Human Services Agency, and a strong line up of other featured speakers and panelists representing students, families, counties and advocacy organizations (LACOE, The Children’s Partnership, California Immigrant Policy Institute, and Kids in Need of Defense) and spoken word artist, Vanessa Tahay (GetLit).
