The Lynne Aoki Multiple Pathways to Biliteracy District Recognition Award highlights Californians Together Campaign for Biliteracy, aimed to increase the number of districts that offer multiple pathways to biliteracy. The goal is to inspire the development of strong dual language programs, multiple opportunities and comprehensive pathways enabling all students to reach the goal of high levels of proficiency in two or more languages, fully qualified to receive the Seal of Biliteracy recognition upon high school graduation.

Previous districts awarded this recognition include, Corona-Norco Unified School District, Anaheim Elementary School District, and Anaheim Union High School District.

This award commemorates a fierce leader, Lynne Aoki, who had been at the forefront of the struggle for the rights of English learners, their families, and the movement for high-quality programs.
