CABE 2026 Workshop┃Ensuring a Multilingual Universal Pre‐Kindergarten Workforce

Learn about a new report from the Central Valley English Learner Workforce Investment Initiative (EL-WIN), outlining policy recommendations for sustaining a multilingual-ready Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) workforce. Participants will learn about the landscape of the UPK workforce in California and projected gaps over the next decade, including gaps in bilingual educators. Participants will leave with a set of actions they can take to their own communities to support a stronger birth through TK educator workforce that is prepared to meet the needs of multilingual students. Leave inspired with ideas for how your COE can support your school districts in the recruitment, development, and retention of a UPK workforce.
This workshop will be presented by Californians Together Senior Policy Associate, Early Childhood Education Mario Snow, and Central Valley EL-WIN Director Jim Sullivan.
